- 1 small head green cabbage (1½ to 2 pounds), cored and thinly sliced
- 1 pound ground beef (80–90% lean)
- 1 teaspoon kosher salt
- ½ teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 cup tomato sauce
- ½ cup beef broth
- 1 tablespoon olive oil or melted butter (for greasing)
Directions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease a 9×13-inch casserole dish.
- Prepare the cabbage by removing outer leaves, coring, and thinly slicing.
- Spread the cabbage evenly in the bottom of the dish.
