Creamy Pineapple Pecan Fluff Salad

Creamy Pineapple Pecan Fluff Salad

This Creamy Pineapple Pecan Fluff Salad is a sweet, fluffy dessert salad that’s
incredibly easy to make. Juicy pineapple and mandarin oranges are folded into a
creamy whipped mixture and finished with crunchy pecans for the perfect combination
of fruity, creamy, and nutty flavors.

It comes together in just a few minutes and is perfect for potlucks, holiday dinners,
family gatherings, or whenever you need a simple make-ahead dessert.

Ingredients

  • 1 can (20 ounces) crushed pineapple, well drained
  • 1 can (15 ounces) mandarin oranges, drained and chopped
  • 1 package (8 ounces) cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup whipped topping, thawed
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1/3 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup chopped pecans
  • 1/2 cup mini marshmallows, optional

Instructions

  1. Prepare the fruit:
Drain the crushed pineapple and mandarin oranges very well. Excess liquid can make
    the salad too thin.
  2. Make the creamy mixture:
In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese, sour cream, sugar, and
vanilla extract until smooth and creamy.
  3. Fold in the whipped topping:
Gently fold the whipped topping into the cream cheese mixture until evenly combined.
  4. Add the fruit and pecans:
Fold in the pineapple, mandarin oranges, chopped pecans, and mini marshmallows if
using. Mix gently so the fruit stays intact.
  5. Chill:
Cover the bowl and refrigerate for at least 1 hour before serving. Chilling allows
the flavors to blend and gives the salad a thicker, creamier texture.
  6. Serve:
Give the salad a gentle stir before serving. Sprinkle a few extra chopped pecans
over the top for a crunchy finish.

Notes

  • Make sure the canned fruit is thoroughly drained to prevent a watery salad.
  • Toasted pecans add even more flavor and crunch.
  • You can substitute walnuts for the pecans if desired.
  • For a sweeter version, add a little extra sugar to taste.
  • This salad can be prepared several hours ahead and kept refrigerated until serving.
