Custard apple cake: how to make a soft cake in no time!

INGREDIENTS:

300 g (2 3/8 cup) flour;

4 eggs;

220 g (1 cup) sugar;

120 ml (½ cup) of milk;

50 ml (1/4 cup) vegetable oil;

½ teaspoon of vanilla essence;

16 g baking powder;

a pinch of salt;

1 cup (280 g) pastry cream;

2 apples.

 

METHOD :

 

preheat the oven to 180c.

beat eggs and sugar until pale and frothy

add vanilla, salt, milk and vegetable oil

separately whisk the flour with the baking powder and add it in the liquids a tablespoon at a time, while working the dough with a hand mixer

peel and cut an apple and add it to the dough

pour the batter into a buttered 24 cm mold. spoon half the pastry cream on top, garnish with apple slices and cover with the rest of the cream

bake for 50 minutes and let cool before serving.
