This recipe may not be popular anymore, but this classic dish—made famous in the military for its stuffing and use of dried beef—has found itself home to many Southern tables.
* ingredients :
°8 ounces dried ground beef, which you can find sold in jars.
°2 tablespoons of unsalted butter.
°1 cup of milk.
°2 tablespoons of flour.
°Half a cup of heavy cream.
°Pepper to taste.
°Toast.
*Methods:
Step 1
To start, in a skillet, melt the butter. When melted, add the flour and beat with a whisk until everything is combined.
Step 2
Then slowly add the milk (the secret is to pour in the milk slowly) and stir constantly with the whisk. Next, add the heavy cream and, continuing to whisk, add pepper to taste.
Step 3
Then bring the mixture to a simmer, stirring frequently to prevent burning.
Step 4
Then, when the sauce is as thick as you want it to be, add the shredded and drained beef, then reduce the heat and continue to stir to heat the meat.
Finally, serving it on toast & Enjoy !
