Ingredients

1 whole egg
3 tablespoons of sugar
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup oil
1/2 cup milk
1/2 cup warm water
1 packet of dry yeast (10 g)
4 cups of wheat flour

Preparation mode
In a bowl, add the dry yeast, sugar and warm water, mixing them well.
Wait a few moments and add the egg, oil, milk at room temperature and half of the wheat flour. Mix all the ingredients until you get a homogeneous dough.
Add the salt and the remaining wheat flour, and mix well with your hands.
Transfer the dough to a clean surface and knead for at least 3 minutes, until smooth and elastic.
Place the dough back in the bowl and cover it with a clean, damp cloth. Let it rest for at least 30 minutes, or until it doubles in size.
Using a rolling pin, roll out the dough on a lightly floured surface, adjusting it as necessary.
Roll the dough and place it in a greased and floured loaf pan. Cover it again and let it rest for another 20 minutes.
In a bowl, mix the egg yolk and milk. Brush this mixture over the dough to give it a nice golden appearance. If you prefer, make shallow cuts in the surface of the bread with a sharp knife.
Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C for about 40 minutes, or until the bread is golden and cooked through.
