Soft and fluffy breadsticks drizzled with homemade garlic butter are the perfect accompaniment to almost any dinner party. The dough requires two rises, but the second rise is very quick because the oven preheats. This recipe should come with a caveat: you’re only 7 ingredients (dare I say it?) better than Olive Garden breadstick bliss!
The moment your basket of freshly baked bread hits the table is easily the best part of dinner. If you’ve ever been to the Olive Garden restaurant chain, you know what I mean. Each meal is accompanied by an unlimited soup or salad and breadsticks. I’ve always wanted to recreate fan-favorite breadsticks, and it turns out you only need 7 ingredients to make a homemade version. Homemade does not exist.
ingredients:
°1 package (10 ounces) prepared pizza dough
°1 tablespoon melted butter
°1 clove garlic finely chopped
°1/2 cup grated mozzarella cheese
°1 tablespoon of parmesan
°1 tablespoon dried basil
°salt and pepper as needed
*How to make Homemade Cheese Garlic Breadsticks:
Preheat oven to 425 degrees.
Combine butter and garlic in a small bowl and set aside.
Spread the pizza dough on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and brush it with the garlic-butter mixture
Sprinkle the cheese and spices evenly over the dough.
Use a pizza cutter and cut the dough into stick shapes (lengthwise into 7 long strips and widthwise into 3 slices). Do not separate the strips.
Bake for 10 to 12 mn or until lightly brown.
Roll up along each strip and remove from the baking paper.
Serve hot with marinara sauce.
Enjoy !
