Ingredients:

1 cup all-purpose flour

1 teaspoon baking powder

1/4 teaspoon salt

1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted

1/2 cup milk

1 egg

Directions:

1. Prepare the Dough:

In a large bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, and salt.

In a separate bowl, whisk together the melted butter, milk, and egg.

Gradually add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients, stirring until a smooth dough forms.

2. Shape the Dough:

Lightly flour a clean surface and knead the dough for 2-3 minutes until it becomes soft and pliable.

Shape the dough into a round or desired shape.

3. Heat the Pan:

Heat a non-stick skillet or a heavy-bottomed pan over low-medium heat. Grease it lightly with butter or oil.

4. Cook the Bread

Place the dough in the skillet and cover with a lid. Cook on one side for about 8-10 minutes or until golden brown.

Flip the bread and cook the other side for another 8-10 minutes, ensuring it’s cooked through.

5. Check for Doneness:

Insert a toothpick or knife into the center to check if it comes out clean.

6. Serve:

Remove from the skillet and let it cool slightly before slicing.

Serve warm with butter, jam, or your favorite spread.
