Ingredients :
1 lb ground beef.
1 cup yellow onions.
12 oz canned corn, undrained.
1/2 cup water.
0.87 oz beef gravy mix.
1/2 tsp salt.
1/2 tsp pepper.
1/2 tbsp onion powder.
1/2 tbsp garlic powder.
Mashed Potatoes.
1 1/2 cups water.
2 tbsp margarine.
4 oz instant mashed potato mix.
1/2 cup milk.
Topping.
28 oz frozen tater tots.
2 cups shredded mozzarella and cheddar cheese blend.
Instructions :
Heat the oven to 425F.
In a large pan on medium-high, combine ground beef and a bit of margarine, stirring frequently.
Break apart the ground beef, mixing as it cooks.
Introduce the diced onions to the pan, merging with the beef.
Continue cooking until onions are translucent and beef is cooked thoroughly.
Add corn to the pan, stir to blend.
Introduce water, gravy mix, salt, pepper, onion, and garlic powder, coating beef evenly.
Transfer beef mixture to a greased 9 x 13 inch dish, spreading smoothly.
Set the dish aside for potato preparation.
In a saucepan, bring water and margarine to boil.
Remove from heat, add mashed potato mix and milk, then stir gently.
Allow potatoes to rest for a minute, then stir to achieve smoothness.
Layer the mashed potatoes over the beef mixture in the dish.
Arrange tater tots evenly on top of mashed potatoes.
Place in oven, baking FOR 30 minutes.
Remove, then top with cheese, and bake until melted, about 4-6 minutes.
