Ingredients:
For the Steak:
2 ribeye steaks (about 1 inch thick)
Salt and pepper to taste
2 tablespoons olive oil
2 tablespoons unsalted butter
For the Shrimp:
1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 tablespoon unsalted butter
2 cloves garlic, minced
Salt and pepper to taste
For the Creamy Garlic Herb Sauce:
1/2 cup heavy cream
1/4 cup chicken or beef broth
1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
1 tablespoon chopped fresh chives
1 teaspoon dried thyme
Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions:
1. Prepare the Steaks:
Season the steaks generously with salt and pepper on both sides.
In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat until hot.
Add the steaks to the skillet and cook for 3-4 minutes on each side for medium-rare, or until desired doneness.
Add the butter to the skillet and spoon the melted butter over the steaks as they cook.
Remove the steaks from the skillet and let them rest on a plate.
2. Cook the Shrimp:
In the same skillet, add the olive oil and butter over medium heat.
Add the garlic and cook until fragrant, about 30 seconds.
Add the shrimp and season with salt and pepper.
Cook the shrimp for 2-3 minutes on each side, or until they are pink and opaque.
Remove the shrimp from the skillet and set aside.
3. Make the Creamy Garlic Herb Sauce:
In the same skillet, add the minced garlic and cook until fragrant, about 30 seconds.
Add the broth and scrape up any browned bits from the bottom of the skillet.
Stir in the heavy cream and Dijon mustard, and bring to a simmer.
Add the Parmesan cheese and stir until melted and the sauce thickens slightly.
Stir in the chopped parsley, chives, and dried thyme.
Season with salt and pepper to taste.
4. Combine and Serve:
Return the steaks and shrimp to the skillet, spooning some of the sauce over them.
Let them heat through for a minute or two.
Serve the steaks topped with shrimp and drizzled with the creamy garlic herb sauce.
Garnish with additional parsley and chives if desired.
Tips:
For extra flavor, you can marinate the steaks in your favorite marinade for a few hours before cooking.
Feel free to add your favorite herbs to the sauce, such as rosemary or basil, for a personalized touch.
Serve this dish with a side of roasted vegetables, mashed potatoes, or a fresh salad for a complete meal.
