Maple Sugar Cream Pie is a delicious dessert that features the rich and distinct flavor of maple syrup. It is a traditional Canadian dessert, particularly popular in the province of Quebec. The pie consists of a buttery pie crust filled with a creamy, custard-like filling made with maple syrup and other ingredients.

Here’s a basic recipe for Maple Sugar Cream Pie:

Ingredients:
– 1 9-inch pie crust (pre-made or homemade)
– 1 cup pure maple syrup
– 1 cup heavy cream
– 1/2 cup granulated sugar
– 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
– 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
– 3 large eggs
– 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
– Whipped cream, for garnish (optional).

Instructions:
1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

2. Roll out the pie crust and fit it into a 9-inch pie dish. Trim the edges and crimp them decoratively. Set aside.

3. In a medium-sized bowl, whisk together the maple syrup, heavy cream, granulated sugar, flour, melted butter, eggs, and vanilla extract until well combined.

4. Pour the filling into the prepared pie crust.

5. Place the pie on a baking sheet and transfer it to the preheated oven.

6. Bake for about 45-50 minutes or until the filling is set and the crust is golden brown. You can check the doneness by gently shaking the pie; it should jiggle slightly in the center but be mostly set.

7. Remove the pie from the oven and let it cool completely on a wire rack.

8. Once cooled, refrigerate the pie for at least 2 hours or overnight to allow it to set completely.

9. Serve chilled, optionally garnished with whipped cream.

Enjoy your homemade Maple Sugar Cream Pie! It’s a delightful treat for maple syrup lovers and a perfect dessert for any occasion.
