I am so happy to share this recipe with you because it is the perfect Christmas morning breakfast dish. I definitely can’t take credit for this recipe, it’s the one I got from my boyfriend a few years ago, whose mom used to make it every Christmas morning. I thought it looked so easy and perfect for a Christmas breakfast or brunch.
This recipe is a classic Christmas recipe that has become a tradition for us because it’s delicious and the best part is that you can make it the night before and the next morning, all you have to do is bake and enjoy.
This recipe is great because it’s so versatile that you can customize it to your tastes and preferences and add whatever kind of pork you like or skip the pork and add vegetables for a vegetarian version.
*ingredients:
°°1 pound minced pork sausage
°1teaspoon of mustard powder
°1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
°4 large eggs, beaten
°2 cups of full fat milk
°6 slices of white bread, toasted and cut into cubes
°1 cup grated cheddar cheese

Start by crumbling the sausage in a medium skillet and cook over medium heat until evenly browned. Drain off the excess oil.
In another bowl, mix mustard powder, salt, eggs and milk.
Incorporate the golden sausage, sliced bread and grated cheese into the mixture. Stirring o coat everything evenly.
Transfer mixture to a greased 9″ x 13″ baking dish.
Cover the plate and leave it in the fridge for 8 hours or overnight.
When you’re ready to bake, preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
Cover the dish and bake for 45 to 60 minutes.
After the initial cooking, uncover the dish, reduce the heat to 325 degrees, and let it cook for an additional 30 minutes or until the dish is tender.
Cut into portions and enjoy!
